本作は、歴史上決して交わることのなかった二つの存在―― ローマ軍の百人隊長（センチュリオン） と 日本の侍（サムライ）―― その「不可能な出会い」を、 敬意と友好の象徴として Vetusta Victrix が静かに再創造したものである。

京都の伝統的な庭園。 灯籠の柔らかな光と、木と石が奏でる静寂の中で、 二人の戦士は互いに深く礼を交わす。

百人隊長は、西洋世界の規律・秩序・構造を体現する存在。 侍は、東洋の名誉・精緻・精神性を象徴する存在。 両者の間にあるのは対立ではなく、 時空を超えた相互の敬意 である。

作品上部には「日本（日本）」の文字が掲げられ、 その中心には 日の丸の赤い太陽 が静かに輝く。 それは、二つの文明を結ぶ「ひとつの光」を示す象徴である。

🏛️🇯🇵 日本 — Centurio in Kyoto

La obra representa un encuentro imposible: dos figuras que jamás coincidieron en la Historia, pero que Vetusta Victrix une en un acto de cordialidad y fraternidad. Un Centurión romano y un Samurái japonés se inclinan uno ante el otro en un jardín tradicional de Kyoto, bajo la luz cálida de los faroles y el silencio ritual de la madera y la piedra.

El Centurión encarna la disciplina, el orden y la estructura del mundo occidental. El Samurái, el honor, la precisión y la espiritualidad del Oriente. Entre ambos no hay confrontación, sino reconocimiento mutuo: dos códigos guerreros que se saludan a través del tiempo y la imaginación.

Sobre la escena, los caracteres 日本 —Nihon, Japón— coronan la composición con el sol naciente incrustado entre ellos, símbolo de unidad y respeto. Roma y Japón, dos civilizaciones separadas por siglos y océanos, se encuentran aquí en un instante suspendido, donde el arte sustituye a la Historia y la imaginación se convierte en puente.
